Publication of Non-Yard Based Apprenticeship Report

We are delighted to share publication of the report, from a research project we carried out on Non-Yard based Apprenticeships, as part of RacingPathway.com.

Phase two funding has now been approved by the Racing Foundation to implement the recommendations. 

Key learnings included;

Over-indexing on Ethnicity – 25% of apprentices come from an ethnic minority background compared to the UK population of 14%  

Alarming Churn – Attrition rate of 25% of racing’s non yard based workforce leaving within 1yr 

Strong Desire – Racing’s stakeholders keen to support apprenticeships within their workforce  

Funding – Access to levy transfer scheme providing an opportunity to scale up apprentice levels within racing  

Centralised Resource – Support for dedicated industry resource
